* Don't fumble in your purse for keys and money at your car or in Malls. Know where every thing is and how to get it quickly. Keep your purse close and not hanging behind you unmonitored. * Travel light, use one small purse, one credit card, limited cash. * Be aware! Look around, notice who is near you at all times. * Don't leave with strangers who approach you, no matter what they tell you! Don't let a stranger approach you as you get in your auto. Get in quickly and lock the door. * Don't send kids shopping alone, let adults take turns monitoring them. * Discuss a place to meet if someone gets lost. * Don't approach your auto or leave it when there are questionable persons or groups close by who make you feel uneasy.
Card Cards and Identity Theft: * Don't throw away any credit card statements, pre-approved credit card offers, or other important information with account numbers or personal information in the trash. Shred it first! * Don't leave mail in your mail box at any time. Get it out quickly or have a locked mail box. Getting mail out of mail boxes is one of the ways your personal information is stolen at christmas and during the year! Tip: Credit cards are a great way to spend at christmas. Just use credit card statements to track christmas expenses! No matter what your credit is, apply for credit cards for your type of credit to increase chances of being for the credit card. Certain credit cards require excellent credit. Using a credit card during christmas shopping can even make christmas exchanges easier and faster.
