My Personal Plan to Get OUT of Debt!

I among the average consumers who one day find themselves with several credit card debts. Yes, I am in debt the average of about $3,000.00. I am numbered with other consumers who are also in credit card debt. Now I have to make a personal plan to get out of debt. Since I love credit cards for shopping and tracking expenses, I don't want to cut up, hide, or freeze my credit cards. My holiday and special occasion spending just got a bit out of control and I am in debt for a while.

So, how do I make a personal plan to get out of credit card debt? 

First, I review all the interest rates on my credit cards and choose which credit card has the lowest interest rate. I do a balance transfer - that is I call the credit card company with the lowest rate and ask them to put the balances owed on the other credit cards to their credit card till I can pay off the balance. 

Why do I make this personal plan to get out of debt?

I want to try to avoid shuffling credit card debts from payday to payday. If I forget to send in a credit card payment, I could pay over $25.00 for a late fee. I also have interest rate fees that vary on each credit card - I want to avoid paying debts on too many credit cards with different interest rates. My personal plan will be to have my credit card debts on ONE, low interest credit card until I pay off the credit card debt. Now until I do, I will probably put all the credit cards in a safe place and NOT charge any more until I pay off the debt.
